Harajuku is an area around the Harajuku train station, Yamanote region, district of Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. The word itself Harajuku on perkebangannya led to a style of dress was adopted from the teens who often gather in the area.

If we want to see a collection of young people who are stylish Harajuku, we can come to the Harajuku area on Sunday where many Japanese young people who dress up like anime characters, the artist's punk rock, gothic, and much more.
Clothing styles of the teens is hardly one to follow one particular style or genre. Usually they are more mix and match between one style to another style. Most of them are also usually gathered at Jingu Bridge, Harajuku pedestrian bridge between the Meiji Shrine.

There are several types of flow of Harajuku style itself, among others, are as follows:

● Visual Kei
Visual Kei Harajuku style is more directed to the artist who follows the style of Japanese rock (JRock). The characteristics of this style is elaborate and detailed costumes, the style is eccentric, or strange, the look and the hair is arranged in such a way, as well as the use of make-up is striking.




● Lolita
Lolita is a Japanese fashion that is influenced by the styles and fashions of Victorian Rococo period (Late Baroque). The characteristics that can be easily found from the Lolita style is knee-length skirt or dress like a cupcake form (expanded at the bottom), knee-length socks or stockings, headdress, and clothes with lots of lace. Lolita itself consists of multiple streams of force, such as Gothic Lolita (GothLoli), Sweet Lolita, Qi Lolita, Wa Lolita, Country Lolita, and many more.

● decora & Kawaii
Decora or "Decoration" is a Japanese-style clothing and accessories characterized by bright colors, use a lot of hairpins with ornaments and ribbon. Other accessories are commonly included in this style is plasik doll or dolls that have hair, and jewelry that can cause noise when the user moves.

While Kawaii, which in Japanese means pretty or cute, in terms of style Harajuku has the meaning someone wearing clothes that look like for the kids or style that accentuates cuteness / keimutan people using these garments. Characteristics are the clothes with lots of wrinkles, pastel colors or bright colors, use of accessories, including toys or dolls are large, and bags featuring anime characters.

● Ganguro and Kogal
This style emerged in Japan in the early 1990s, culminating in 2000. His trademark is a dark skin color combined with hair dyed gray, silver, yellow or other colors that are still related to the color orange. Ganguro girls are usually using lipstick, concealer, eye shadow and white, black eyeliner, use of false eyelashes, facial gems, and pearl powder. Used clothes are usually brightly colored, use a mini skirt, tie-dye fabric, and wear lots of jewelry (rings, necklaces, and bracelets).

Kogal Ganguro almost the same. Kogal girls famous for "showing off" as if to tell everyone that they are very well established through the clothing they use, accessories, bags (eg using the Louis Vuitton bag), musical tastes, and social activities of their day-to-day.

Here is the style most often we meet, Cosplay, short for Costume Player (in Japanese is pronounced as "Kosupure"). Cosplay is a dress style that follows the manga, anime, or video games.
